Way To Get A CPL
To become a pilot, one has to undergo proper Pilot Training and obtain the requisite licence. Firstly, one has to obtain a student pilot license (SPL) for the training. This can be obtained after matriculation at a minimum age of 16 years. After this, a student has to obtain a private pilot license (PPL). During this period, one is given training to fly and is also required to pass theoretical tests that include the basic knowledge about the aircraft and flying. It is only after this that one can obtain a commercial pilot license (CPL). Thus, a candidate needs to clear these three basic courses in order to become a commercial pilot and get the eligibility for Commercial Pilot License. The time taken to earn all these licenses is different for different individuals and it could take from one to three years to complete.
In order to obtain a well-paying job as a pilot, you’ll have to record plenty of time in the air. Professional pilots say that the typical pilot needs at least 1,500 flight hours before they can secure work. Generally speaking, it can take anywhere from one to five years or more to log that many hours in the pilot’s seat. Flight training can be expensive, requiring students to spend more than $22,000.However, financial aid is available to students who need it. And that training can pay off handsomely, once you secure a commercial aviation job paying more than $100,000 annually.
